3 Colors Rice
2 cup basmati (or other white rice), divided
1 cup forbidden rice (or other black rice)
6 cups water
2.5 teaspoon salt
5 teaspoons butter
Bring to boil 4 cups water 1 cup of white rice and 1 cup of forbidden rice, 1.5 teaspoon salt, 3 teaspoons butter.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15-20 till the rice is soft.
In another pan, bring to boil 2 cups of water, 1 cup of white rice, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoon butter, reduce to simmer for 15-20 minutes till rice is soft.
Combine all the rice, gently, so the white remains white to achieve the look of 3 colors.

I served the rice as a side dish to a Chicken and Olives so I arranged the rice around the chicken in an oven-proof dish and warmed them up together before serving.
Note:
This recipe happened accidentally. I wanted to serve white and black rice that were mixed together.
I suspected that I should cook them separately otherwise the white rice will turn black during cooking. Yet, I wanted to save some work, so I cooked them together. The result was a nice mixture of purple and black. Realizing that saving work did not give me the result I was looking for, I cooked another cup of white rice and mixed the two bowls of cooked rice together to get a 3 colors rice dish.
