Turkish Salad

Version I

​

3     onions, chopped to small pieces

4     tablespoon oil

3     green peppers, chopped to small pieces

3     red peppers, chopped to small pieces

3     tomatoes, chopped to small pieces

100 gram green olives, pitted and chopped to small pieces

2     tablespoon harisa (or another hot spice like tabasco)

100 gram tomato paste

1/2  teaspoon cumin

salt to taste

 

Version I

 

Mix all ingredients

Version II

 

4 tomatoes

1 red pepper

3 glove garlic, minced

4 tablespoon oil

1 large onion, diced

200 gram tomato paste

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon cumin

2 tablespoon harissa

2 tablespoon sweet paprika

1 teas. salt

lemon juice from 1/2 lemon

Version II

​

Heat oil in a pan, add tomatoes, pepper, garlic and cook for  minutes.

Add onion and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.

Add tomato paste, water bring to boil.

Add spice and take off heat.
